IELTS & Language Prep
Test guidance, booking support and practice so your band score opens doors.

For many students the English test stands between them and their offer. It should not be a barrier. With the right target, the right preparation and the right booking strategy, IELTS and its alternatives become a hurdle you clear cleanly rather than one you keep tripping over.
Ask about ieltsKnow your target before you study
The band score you need depends entirely on your course and country, and studying blindly for a top score you do not need wastes months. Some universities ask for an overall 6.0, others 6.5 or 7.0, sometimes with a minimum in each section. We tell you the exact target for your shortlist so you prepare efficiently.
| Typical requirement | Overall band | Common minimum per section |
|---|---|---|
| Undergraduate, many UK universities | 6.0 to 6.5 | 5.5 to 6.0 |
| Postgraduate, competitive courses | 6.5 to 7.0 | 6.0 to 6.5 |
| Foundation and pathway programmes | 5.0 to 5.5 | 5.0 |
| Some technical courses in Europe | 6.0 | 5.5 |
These are common patterns, not fixed rules. We confirm the precise requirement for every university on your list so there are no surprises.
Preparation that fits your level
Good preparation starts with an honest assessment of where your English is now. From there we guide you on how much time you need, which sections to focus on, and what practice actually moves your score, rather than generic advice that suits nobody.
- A clear picture of your current level and your gap to target
- Focused practice on your weakest sections, not all four equally
- Realistic timelines so you book the test at the right moment
- Guidance on reliable free and paid practice resources
- Tips for the exam-day format so nothing catches you off guard
Booking, at the right time
Booking too early means sitting the test before you are ready. Booking too late means missing your application deadline. We help you time your test so your score arrives exactly when your universities need it, and we guide you through the booking process itself.
One well-timed attempt beats three rushed ones
Each attempt costs real money. We would rather you prepare properly and sit it once than burn through attempts chasing a score you were never quite ready for.
Studying without IELTS
Not every student needs IELTS. Some universities accept alternative tests, and others waive the English requirement entirely for students who studied in English, often the case for Pakistani students. We check whether you can skip IELTS altogether before you spend time and money on it.
Where a waiver is possible, we help you gather the evidence universities accept, such as a medium-of-instruction letter from your previous institution. It is one of the easiest wins we find for students, and many never knew it was an option.
